THE JOB


Accountable to the Deputy Vice Chancellor- Finance and Administration, the successful candidate will be responsible for among others, the following:



  • Providing strategic direction for the University’s accounting, financial reporting and supply chain management functions in order to ensure sustainable and efficient financial management.

  • Participating in the development of the overall University strategy.

  • Overseeing the development and implementation of appropriate financial management and accounting system and controls.

  • Overseeing the preparation and analysis of management accounts, cash flow and cash flow projections for effective decision making.

  • Ensuring adherence to internationally recognized accounting and supply standards and conventions, as well as, timely preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Overseeing the acquisition and disposal of capital assets.

  • Overseeing and monitoring performance of the supply chain management to achieve efficiency.


THE PERSON


The right candidate must meet the following minimum requirements, among others;



  • Possess a professionally recognised accounting qualification and membership of an internationally recognised institute of professional accountants, e.g. ACCA, CIA, CIMA, and BICA.

  • Should have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

  • A Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field will be an added advantage

  • Possess at least ten (10) years’ experience in a financial environment, four (4) years of which should have been at Managerial level.

  • Registered with BICA.

  • Possess a working knowledge of implementing a supply chain framework.

 DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC AND STUDENT SERVICES


THE JOB


Accountable to the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs & Research, the successful candidate will be responsible for among others, the following:



  • Participating in the development of the overall University strategy.

  • Providing strategic leadership to the academic and student affairs activities.

  • Overseeing the development and review of the academic, as well as, research and innovation programs.

  • Developing and executing comprehensive student recruitment and admissions, policies processes and procedures.

  • Overseeing the overall functioning and performance of student affairs and services.

  • Establishing, building and maintaining networks across the organization to facilitate collaboration.

  • Overseeing the effective and efficient management of student and academic data system, as well as, administration of learning, teaching and assessment activities.


THE PERSON


The right candidate must meet the following minimum requirements, among others;



  • Possess a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Management or relevant field and should have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • Possess at least ten (10) years post qualification experience, four (4) of which must have been at Managerial Level.


COMPETENCIES

 DIRECTOR, CENTRE FOR IN-SERVICE AND CONTINUING EDUCATION (CICE)


THE JOB


Accountable to the Deputy Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs & Research, the successful candidate will be responsible for among others, the following:



  • Participating in the development of the overall University strategy.

  • Promoting outreach & development education, through administering in-service, continuing and distance learning education.

  • Formulating open distance learning, in service and continuing education policy.

  • Developing and reviewing the academic programmes to ensure alignment to current market needs.

  • Overseeing the mainstreaming of open and distance learning, continuing and public education.

  • Establishing, building and maintaining networks and partnerships with key stakeholders.


THE PERSON


The right candidate must meet the following minimum requirements among others;



  • Possess a Master’s Degree in Distance Education/ Education Management Extension, or related field and should have attained a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • Possess a professional qualification in Open and / or Distance Learning ,or related discipline. 

  • Possess at least ten (10) years’ experience as an academic staff member, four (4) of which should have been at Managerial level.

  • Excellent record of educational extension activities, including research.
